Who To Start & Who To Bench - Week #1

In the upcoming weeks, i will at random select 3 NFL games.
From these games, i will select players to start and others to bench.
note: The lions will appear more frequently then others.

Week#1

New England Patriots vs Oakland Raiders

Start:
Tom Brady - Raiders defense allowed 251.4 passing yards a game.
Corey Dillon - Raiders defense allowed 128.2 rushing yards a game.
Adam Vinatieri - should see some field goal opportunities.

Kerry Collins - won't put up huge numbers against the patriots defense
but should manage to find the endzone once or twice.
Randy Moss - when the lights come on, so does Randy. Against the defending
Superbowl champs, Moss will turn it up a notch and find the endzone at least once
but not surprised if he finds it again and again.
Sebastian Janikowski - some stalled drives by a good defense might allow
for some field goal chances.

Bench:

Lamont Jordon - New England Patriots defense is stout against the run.
losing Bruschi will hurt but not a great day for Jordon. will be a new role for
Jordon. carrying the rock for an entire game will probably tire in the fourth.
Oakland Raiders defense - Patriots make few mistakes.
Any New England widereceiver - Brady will spread the ball to several receivers.

Saint Louis Rams vs San Francisco 49er's

Start:
Marc Bulger - S.F. defense allowed 246 yards pass per game.
Any ST.Louis receiver especially named holt, torry that is.
Steven Jackson - (158.5 yards) that's the amount of yards per game the 49er's
defense allowed per game.
Rams defense - not known for their great defense but against the 49er's every
defense looks good.
Jeff wilkins -although he might only get field goals, there might me a lot of them.

bench:
All S.F. 49er's players/defense.

Detroit Lions vs Green Bay Packers

Start:
Kevin Jones - Packers allowed a miserable 142 yards a game.
Brett Favre - always seems to put up good numbers against an average
Lions secondary.
Javon walker & Donald Driver - should both put up a td and 80 plus yards.
Ahman Green - Lions defense always seems to give up the big numbers against Green.
Joey Harrington - although Packers defense has allowed an average of only
a 160 yards per game, joey will put up good numbers against a depleated secondary.
Ryan Longwell - one of the league's best kickers. should see at least 2-3 field goals
from this sure legged kicker.

Bench:
Jason Hason - has recorded double-digit points in just one of his past six contest
against the Packers and has averaged a mere seven points in that timeframe.
Any lions Receiver - joey will spread the ball but no one receiver should amount
over 100 yards. decent day for Roy and Charles but nothing great.
