Answer:
most people wish that had this so called dilemma. when selecting
runningbacks of this close or equal distinction, you can determine who to
select by comparing a couple of factors. any disparagies involving home
field advantage or an opponants rush defense in this instance should be
included.

player opponant defense rush yards allowed (2004)
Willis Mcgahee @ Tampa Bay (rush yards allowed 123.3)
Tiki Barber vs New Orleans (140.8 yds)
Cory Dillon @ Carolina (119.0 yds)

as you can see Tiki has both the best matchup and playing on his own
homefield. the next 2 can be as simple as a flip of the coin or the
old gut feeling (LAST RESORT).
Carolina might have an edge in defense but with the loss of pro-bowler
Kris Jenkins for the season (torn a.c.l.) that slight advantage is lost.
By assessing something this close i would select the best overall offense.
with Brady's ability to move the ball over J.P Losman's inability to do
such would make the ultimate decision a lot easier.
