Fantasy Football Questions???????????

Question:

Ronnie,

Who do you think I should start at QB in week 6, Eli Manning @ Dallas or Mark Bulger @ Indy? I usually start Bulger, however I've started to look at Manning more and more. Between injury and people on their bye, my team is hurting this week, so which QB would you say is more of a "swing for the fences" type pick?

Thanks,
Phillip (CK Kid)

Response:

Normally this is a no-brainer but with the incresingly huge rise to fantasy stardum, Eli appears to be another clone to the success of Archie.... genetics i say..genetics!!! confused don't be just go to the nearest dictionary and look under Peyton. Marc Bulger at this time is a Fantasy stud and must be started each and every week, baring a bye or an injury. The Rams also by playing at Indy are commonly known to be a better team on turf (hence, the best show on turf). In generalities i always play my best player(s) regardless of matchups. this way if i lose, i lose by playing my best and not by losing because i left a stud on the bench.

Question:

Ronnie, I have Rudi Johnson and Stephan Jackson. Who should I start Week 6? I am leaning toward S. Jackson even though he is playing against Indy. R. Johnson has not produced a lot yet this year. Thanks.

Response:

2 schools of thought to ponder:

#1 the matchups favors Rudi Johnson. Tennesee Titans defense allows over 116 yards a game per rush. I look for this game to pour the points especially with a sub par Titans defense.

#2 Mike Martz is out on indefinite leave with a heart ailment and will be replaced with interim head coach Joe Vitt. Why is this important for Steven Jackson? Because no one on this green earth throws more then Martz and according to league sources Vitt loves to first run then pass not what i would call a philosophy of Martz. also the rams play very well on the turf (indy) and love the night lights of Monday Night Football. A concern is that Rudi has scored only once. Jackson has 4 scores to his credit and receives a lot more out of the backfield then rudi does. If Kevan "the bar is" low (kevan barlow - s.f.) can rush for 99 yards against the colts, i think Jackson could have a very productive day.

Select Jackson until Rudi starts putting up the numbers we
have expected of him.

Sincerely, Ronnie Keesee

Totally agree with ronnie here, play your studs regardless of the matchup. Great advice as always.
